DeskPine

MCP-first · AI agents

Run your help desk from Claude, ChatGPT or any AI agent

DeskPine has its own MCP server. Add one URL to your AI app, sign in, click Allow — and it can triage the queue, draft replies, look up customers, write help articles and set up your workspace, with your permissions and your OK before anything goes out.

Connect your AI app

It takes a minute. You sign in to DeskPine in your browser and click Allow: no keys to copy. An owner or admin of the workspace connects it.

Claude

claude.ai, Claude Desktop and the mobile apps

  1. 1

    Open Settings → Connectors. On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds the connector first in the organization's settings.

  2. 2

    Click Add custom connector, name it DeskPine and paste the server URL.

  3. 3

    Click Connect. A DeskPine window opens: sign in and click Allow.

  4. 4

    In a chat, turn DeskPine on from the tools menu and ask away.

Add it once on claude.ai or in Claude Desktop; the Claude apps for iPhone and Android then have it too.

Claude Code

the terminal

  1. 1

    Add the server:

  2. Terminal
    claude mcp add --transport http deskpine https://deskpine.app/mcp
  3. 2

    In Claude Code, type /mcp, pick deskpine and choose Authenticate. Your browser opens: sign in and click Allow.

ChatGPT

chatgpt.com

  1. 1

    Open Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.

  2. 2

    Back in Apps & Connectors, click Create. Name it DeskPine, paste the server URL as the MCP server URL and choose OAuth for authentication.

  3. 3

    A DeskPine window opens: sign in and click Allow.

  4. 4

    In a chat, open the + menu, pick Developer mode and turn DeskPine on.

Developer mode is on ChatGPT's paid plans; in Business and Enterprise workspaces an admin may have to allow it first.

Cursor

the editor

  1. 1

    Add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json (or Settings → MCP → Add new server):

  2. ~/.cursor/mcp.json
    {
      "mcpServers": {
        "deskpine": {
          "url": "https://deskpine.app/mcp"
        }
      }
    }
  3. 2

    Next to deskpine in Cursor's MCP settings, click Connect (or Needs login), sign in and click Allow.

VS Code

GitHub Copilot agent mode

  1. 1

    Add this to .vscode/mcp.json (or run MCP: Add Server from the command palette):

  2. .vscode/mcp.json
    {
      "servers": {
        "deskpine": {
          "type": "http",
          "url": "https://deskpine.app/mcp"
        }
      }
    }
  3. 2

    Start the server. VS Code asks to sign in to DeskPine: allow it, sign in and click Allow.

Any MCP client

with OAuth

  1. 1

    Add the server URL as a remote MCP server (Streamable HTTP).

  2. 2

    DeskPine handles the rest: OAuth 2.1 with PKCE and dynamic client registration, discovered from the server's 401 (protected-resource metadata at /.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/mcp).

  3. 3

    Your client opens DeskPine: sign in and click Allow.

No OAuth in your client? Use a token instead (below).

Scripts and clients without OAuth: a token

In DeskPine, open Settings → AI agents (MCP) and create a token (owners and admins; it's shown once, up to 20 per workspace). Send it with every request:

HTTP header
Authorization: Bearer dpmcp_…
Claude Code, with a token
claude mcp add --transport http deskpine https://deskpine.app/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer dpmcp_…"

Safe by design

You choose who connects

Only a workspace's owners and admins can connect an app or create a token. The agent acts as that person, with their role and permissions, and the audit log records it under their name.

Reads and writes are labeled

Every tool says whether it only reads or makes a change, so Claude and ChatGPT ask you before each change.

A preview before anything goes out

Replies, new tickets, forwards, invitations, deletions and anything that overwrites come back first as a preview of exactly what will happen (for a reply, the email as your customer will get it). Nothing happens until you confirm.

No money moves through it

No tool pays, charges a card or refunds. The billing tools only hand you a Stripe link to open yourself, and paid seats are added by a person in Settings → Team.

Credentials stay out of reach

Passwords, two-factor, passkeys, mailbox passwords and signing secrets are never readable or changeable by an agent. Customer messages reach the agent marked as data, not as instructions.

Revoke it any time

Settings → AI agents (MCP) lists every connected app and token, with a one-click disconnect. Resetting your password, or no longer being an owner or admin, revokes all of yours.

What data goes where

What the agent reads in DeskPine (tickets, customers, articles) goes to the AI app you connected, under that provider's terms. DeskPine keeps the connection's tokens (stored hashed) and a log of which tools ran, never your conversations with the AI, and doesn't use your data to train models. More in our privacy policy.

Things to ask

Triage my DeskPine queue: read the unassigned tickets, tag them, assign each one to the right person and give me a table of what you did.
Which tickets are past our first-response target right now, and who owns them?
Draft replies for my tickets that are waiting on me and save them as drafts. Don't send anything.
Find the questions customers asked most this month and write help-center articles for the top three, as drafts.
Set up a workflow that tags new emails mentioning “invoice” as billing and assigns them to the billing team.

Ready-made tasks

Apps that show MCP prompts (the / menu in Claude, for instance) also list these:

  • Triage the queue

    Go through the unassigned and overdue tickets: read, tag, prioritize and assign each one, and report back.

  • Draft replies for my tickets

    Prepare reply drafts for the tickets assigned to you that are waiting on a reply, for you to review and send.

  • Set up a new workspace

    Walk through setting DeskPine up: mailbox and email, office hours, auto-reply, tags, saved replies, workflows, help center, team and billing.

Questions

Does it cost extra?

No. The MCP server is part of every DeskPine workspace, the free trial included. Some AI apps only offer custom connectors on their paid plans.

Can the agent email my customers on its own?

Not without you. A reply, a forward or a new ticket comes back as a preview of the exact email, and goes out only when you confirm. Or ask for drafts: they wait in DeskPine for you to review and send.

Can any teammate connect an AI app?

Owners and admins can. The agent then works with that person's permissions, nothing more.

My client doesn't support OAuth.

Create a token in Settings → AI agents (MCP) and send it as an Authorization: Bearer header. A token is shown once; up to 20 per workspace.

Stuck, or missing a tool?

Write to support@deskpine.app or use the contact form: a person reads every message.
